Recently I started to experience some apparent battery issues with my iPad Mini (with Retina) that I have had for two years this year. I found that the battery was draining from 100% to zero in the matter of hours so I thought the best thing to do was to raise a call with Apple.
This is the process that I went through to get my issue resolved
- Go to Apple Support
- Click Get Started
- Select the product
- Select the category that best describes your problem
From this point it's a pretty straightfoward, this is what happened with me.
I was asked to send iOS Diagnostics information via email, once I had clicked the Quick test button from the iPad within the mail that was it. No feedback so I waited for a response, it didn't come.
A few days later I went back into the Apple Support site and started a chat session with a support respresentative.
Via this chat I found out that the analysis was done and that the battery was in good health. I didn't bother to continue chatting about what I could do to help preserve the battery but left it at that.
At the end of the day I have Apple Care + coverage for a while yet so will keep an eye on it for the next few months.
I hope this post helped and please let me know if you have any problems getting support from Apple.
