As most of you know I've been using (and mostly loving) a jet black iPhone 7 since launch. I had a few niggles with it including call quality and speaker quality so I decided to book a genius appointment.
On running diagnostics it showed that my phone had a front MIC problem, which explained some of my call quality problems.
Having the jet black I knew going in not to expect a straight swap, this was the case. Two options wait for a new iPhone or get a repair done in a couple of weeks. I went for a replacement knowing that I didn't have a lead time.
So, my iPhone needs to be used with a headset to make calls now (not a huge problem for me) but I just wanted to point out if you experience any problems with a jet black 7 or 7 plus you might be waiting a little while for a replacement.
