As you most probably know if you've been following me for a while I'm not a big fan of using cases. This has been fine for years but with the current trend of thinness that Apple has taken on board it's getting harder and harder not to use one. The new aluminium being used does help grip somewhat but the iPhone 6s is a bit of a slippery beast sometimes. If you are determined not to use a case but want some protection then skins are another option.
I had a look online and decided to pickup the Xtreme Skins in matte black. It has full coverage, although for this review I've decided to use the back protector only. I like the look of a white front and black back.

The application process needs a little patience but it is one of the easier ones. The only problem I had was getting the edges to stay stuck down. Even using a hairdryer I couldn't get it stay completely flat.
Take your time and stick (no pun intended) with it.
It looked great from the back but on the sides it just didn't fit flush enough to the curved edges not to look a bit cheap.
It doesn't add much more grip than the original finish. You can feel the edges that started to annoy me after a few minutes use.
It might be that I chose the wrong brand of skin but I can't recommend this one. It's difficult to get it to stick down correctly and the matte finish isn't adding any more grip, think of it for appearances only. I know there are people out there that swear by using skins but for me this version isn't going to be a viable one for me.
What do you use to protect your iPhone?
